A Healthy Approach Physical Therapy

A Healthy Approach, is looking at the body as a whole when striving for wellbeing.

The interconnected relationships of the body’s parts must be examined in order to create a feeling of healthiness. Throughout a lifetime of movement and hardships, our body, like a car, requires maintenance to continue performing for us to the best of its abilities.

The body is capable of forgiving, but it doesn’t forget. Past injuries combined with new stresses can aggravate and worsen if not attended to. A car accident can cause serious neck and back pain, that combined with a knee/ankle/foot problem, results in serious tension and difficulty maintaining a normal day to day life can prove next to impossible.

We strive to care for the body as a whole, and have diverse experience in orthopaedic and neuromuscular therapy, car accidents, work or sports injuries, therapeutic exercise, and massage.

Your first session will consist of an evaluation of your body and its individual condition, and a personalized plan for its physical therapy.

Throughout your therapy, we provide you with

  • education about wellbeing, health, and posture
  • your own body’s strengths and weaknesses
  • the tools to an easy and enjoyable way to maintain your body’s ongoing recovery at home

Remember, everything in moderation is a key to good health and longevity.

Eat healthy, get lots of movement and enjoy day to day life.

Thought of the Month:

Getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop exercising. But you have to have to hit the gym. Walking, biking or running the Ringling Bridge or the Myakka Legacy trail are great ways to keep active.

The body, however, should not be over worked, so stay within your own limitations, especially if you have pre-existing conditions that could limit your movement/body’s ability to process stress.
